Faraaz is a Queensland-trained specialist
anaesthetist who places modern, evidence-based
practice at the centre of his care. He is committed
to providing safe, high-quality anaesthesia and
excellent clinical management for every patient.
Faraaz
graduated in 2012 from the University of London with
two Distinctions, four Merits, and a Prize for
Academic Excellence. He initially undertook
specialist General Practice training and worked as a
GP in both the United Kingdom and the Moreton Bay
region, caring for patients in a busy private
practice. In addition to his Fellowships, Faraaz
holds five postgraduate diplomas, with additional
qualifications in older adult medicine, tropical
medicine and hygiene, and pre-hospital and retrieval
medicine. He is also a Senior Lecturer with the
Griffith University School of Medicine.
After
choosing to specialise in anaesthesia, Faraaz was
accepted into the Queensland Central Rotation for
anaesthetic training and worked across major
hospitals in Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, and
regional Queensland. He maintains a strong
commitment to providing care in regional and remote
communities and holds an appointment as an
Aeromedical Consultant with the Royal Flying Doctor
Service (Queensland).
Faraaz brings a
holistic approach to patient care, shaped by his
background in general practice and complemented by
the rigour of specialist anaesthetic practice. He
values clear communication and collaborative care,
working closely with patients and surgeons to
deliver the highest standards of care.
